Guidelines for recognition of foreign school leaving certificates and vocational qualifications in Schleswig-Holstein
These guidelines were first published during the initial period of access – agency project for supporting refugees and migrants with educational and vocational qualifications in Schleswig-Holstein in close analogy with the Hamburg Guidelines for recognition of foreign school leaving certificates and vocational qualifications, published in October 2006 by the Hamburg Integration Pilot project being run under the auspices of the Hamburg Diakonisches Werk (the outreach work of the church). After the first edition of our guidelines being out of stock for a year by now, we started a revised version for Schleswig-Holstein.
Together with revising the text we updated the addresses of contact persons in the competent authorities for recognition of foreign school leaving certificates and vocational qualifications in Schleswig-Holstein, and incorporated passed amendments and new regulations as well.
These guidelines bundle information about procedures for recognition of school leaving certificates and vocational qualifications for a variety of professions, allocating them to the relevant competent authorities in Schleswig-Holstein. The guidelines at hand being a contribution to more clarity and transparency shall support consultants in their task to help migrants find their way to recognition of qualifications they already have.
